Dr. Ervin Mendlovitz
Dr. Ervin Mendlovitz has been serving Northwest San Antonio since 1995. Dr. Mendlovitz is a native of San Antonio. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Trinity University where he was elected into Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society and graduated Cum Laude.
Dr. Mendlovitz attended Optometry School at the University of Houston College of Optometry. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Degree in Therapeutic Optometry, a designation that allows him to treat most eye disease as well as participate in pre and post op eye care, including Lasik.
Dr. Mendlovitz takes pride in providing excellent, personalized eye care with particular emphasis on general health conditions which can affect the eyes. Dr. Mendlovitz has been recognized numerous times by Cole Vision with the Highest Patient Satisfaction Score. In addition, his office has been recognized as a Patient’s Choice Winner.
In his free time Dr. Mendlovitz enjoys writing books, reading, and swimming.

DR. Randall Elliot
Dr. Elliott graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in 1991. He has been practicing in San Antonio since 1993.
Dr. Elliott is experienced in contact lenses, children's vision, refractive surgery co-management and the treatment of eye disease. But, more importantly, he is friendly. He's not one of those grouchy optometrists who rush you through the exam. Dr. Elliott is very patient and will take the time needed to ensure that all your vision needs are met.
When not providing the best eyecare in the world, Dr. Elliott enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies include exercise, painting, and producing film and music.
Dr. Peter B. Kline - RETIRED
Dr. Peter B. Kline, O.D. graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Elmendorf Air force Base in Anchorage, Alaska. Once there, Dr. Kline continued his education at the University of Alaska where he received a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. Later, Dr. Kline moved to Memphis, TN where he received his Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry.
After graduating from Optometry School, Dr. Kline moved to San Antonio and began a private practice, Leon Valley Eyecare, located on Bandera Rd. In 1980 while still maintaining a private practice, Dr. Kline proudly served his country by joining the Texas Air National Guard, 149th Medical Squadron at Kelly Air Force Base. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and served as Chief Optometrist for 20 years.
In 2018, Dr. Kline joined the In Focus Eyecare team at 7213 Bandera Road.
Dr. Kline is now retired as of Dec 2024.
